The Software Developer III works as a technical lead for projects with
other engineers, managers, Product Management, QA, and Operations
teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with
respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability,
realistic implementation schedules, system architecture, and adherence
to development goals and principles.
The ideal candidate will have extremely strong Object Oriencted Design/
Architecture Experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Senior leader in design and architecture.
Independently design, code, and test major features, as well as work
jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines,
technical issues, and infrastructure integration.
Mentor and supervise junior developers.
Define, design, and implement, multi-tier object-oriented distributed
software applications.
Prior experience in designing data models and writing queries.
Analyze and suggest improvements in the overall development process.
Construct design documents and documentation to aid in maintenance and
code reuse.
Contribute to the design and implementation of databases.
Define, design and implement APIs.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Computer
Science, Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum two years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding
and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications
in NT and UNIX environments.
Prior Architecture experience
Prior experience in designing data models and writing queries.
Prior experience required in object-oriented design methodology and
application development in JAVA and J2EE, including Servlets, JSP,
JAVA Beans, JDBC.
Prior project experience with J2EE application servers required.
Prior experience in developing APIs
Prior experience with caching
Experience in retail-oriented ecommerce application development.
Experience in XML.
Experience with JBOSS or equivalent.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working
knowledge of J2EE, object-oriented design, relational databases (MS
SQL), XML, HTTP/HTML, and basic NT/UNIX system administration.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing
environment.
