Yup, folk, the Jerk- in- Chief has already begun his old habit of voting
"present" when the heat is on. 4 more years, folk. All I can say is
sell short.

The election is over.

George W. Bush is still President.

President-elect Obama is exactly that, no more, no less.

He resigned his Senate seat and hasn't been sworn in as President, and won't
be for almost two more months.

If you look at all of the former clinton bum-kissers that Obama has picked
for his cabinet, you would think that Billary was elected president. So
much for change.
4 years and counting.

Where is George W Bush? Sure would be nice if he would do some

Except, of course, he didn't vote present. You made that up. Instead
of saying specifically what Obama did (or didn't) do that is so
egregious you felt the need to bitch about it, you made something
up.Probably, because you can't point to anything specific. You just
wanted to bitch.

You missed this: "Obama and his team have repeatedly asserted that
during the transition, President George W. Bush remains the chief
executive and that Obama does not want to intrude on his authority."

L-OL, neither Observant nor a Lurker be. Well it is a huge change
(back) from the chumps currently trying to run the show into the
ground.

History already regards the 2 Clinton terms as quite succesful,
especially in terms of budgetary management compared to the last 2
Bush terms.

I'm not a Hillary fan but I do own a "Bush's Last Day" countdown
clock.

I also think it would have been wonderfully ironic if Obama asked
Colin Powell to be Sec. State again.

I more of a Hillary fan than an Obama fan... But, I see her selection
as an indication that Barack is moving from the far left to a more
moderate center position. A good sign.

Your comment simply reveals your total ignorance - or intentional
disregard - of Illinois legislative procedure. "Present" is a "no"
vote which reserves the right to comment on some aspect of the bill
under consideration. It is fairly common in the Illinois
legislature. Obama used it 129 times in about 4,000 votes over 8
years, which is hardly a habit. But don't let the facts get in your
way.

considering that at least 50% of this country is center or to the right,
Obambi must take the moderate position, if he has any desire to make it to
a 2nd term.

Obama has said from day 1 he intended to appoint advisers and senior
official from a wide variety of backgrounds and viewpoints. While I
agree this is a good sign, I take it as a good sign he intends to
follow through with his plans, rather than any sort of movement.

Yes, and while the current president is hiding from the American people in
Peru, Obama is on the radio today offering the stimulus portion of his
comprehensive plan for economic recovery.

Yet the whiners complain about Obama checking out? LOL.

Looks like Dumb and Dumber (aka Lappy and Octopussy) don't get out
much.

Otherwise they'd know that Bush just presided over the G20 Economic
Summit in Washington.

...but of course to these dumbasses, the economy isn't important right
now, only Bush-bashing is important until the half-breed (half-chimp,

Check out "Boob" here.

Wrong again, lib.

In fact, there is a whole website dedicated to Obama and his voting
"Present".

Read and weep and get back with us -

http://obamapresent.com/

Obama spent a few years in the state legislature, during which he
voted present for all the important votes (180 in total), too cowardly
to put his stamp on any position. He's so concerned about being a
consensus-builder (also known as pandering or kissing up) that he
hasn't the integrity to make tough choices.

He spent less than two years in The U.S. Senate before deciding that
his "experience" made him the best choice to make a run for the most
important leadership position in the world.

----

Even Hillary Clinton BLASTED Oafbama on this issue -

"In the Illinois State Senate, Senator Obama voted 130 times
'present,'" Clinton said. "That's not 'yes.' That's not 'no.' That's
'maybe.'"

The record has become an issue on the presidential campaign trail, as
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, his chief rival for the
Democratic nomination, has seized on the present votes he cast on a
series of anti-abortion bills to portray Mr. Obama as a =93talker=94
rather than a =93doer.=94
