The current Clark County Fire Chief (who was a rookie back in 1980 when he responded to the fire), LV Sun reporter Mary Manning (who covered the fire), KLAS anchor Gary Waddell, as well as two former MGM Grand employees including the baker who almost froze to death in the freezer that he was huddled in hoping someone would find him and a co-worker. The Las Vegas Review Journal did a commerative piece a few years ago that can be found here: http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/mgmfire/ And the Clark County Fire Department investigative Report can be found here: http://fire.co.clark.nv.us/(S(gk0jbd3dqdj2fu55lsvjgmuk))/MGM.aspx Also, the Las Vegas Sun published a book "The Day the MGM Grand Burned" which is out of print but can probably be found at local libraries or via abebooks.
